Today was the big day. Moved camp sites and are now in a gorgeous spot right on the water at Kiket Bay. There are panoramic pictures of the site this morning and then this evening and we marveled at the change with the tide. There are a lot of birds including 3 bald eagles yelling about something. Joe had his breakfast of champions and was off on his first ride by 10:15 am. He carries the St Christopher medal that his father-in-law gave to him for protection. This was the shortest ride at 15 miles. Joe got his bike into the Pacific Ocean at Sunset Beach and now the game is on. We picked up some sandwiches from town and had a late lunch, including Neptune. We spent the rest of the day walking around Anacortes and saw harbor seals and watched the sea gulls pick up crabs and drop them on the side walk and eat them. We walked along the boardwalk this evening and enjoyed a local beer at Firehouse Kitchen and Tap House in La Conner. They even served fish tacos. Heading to bed early as tomorrow is a 58 – 60 mile ride. And Susannah is in charge of packing up the camper and moving it to the new spot on her own. Wish us luck! And thank you for supporting us through this journey.
