Left Montana early- 7 am for travel to Washington. Still marveling at the beauty of the country. We added Idaho to our list of states visited. We decided to go the quicker route to Anacortes, WA which had us hop onto I-90 at Coeur d’Alene, ID. Where they have a COSTCO!! Unfortunately, with the time change it was only 8 am so we were unable to visit or get gas. Next time… Washington is amazing. Wild flowers are in bloom. We saw sloughs/swamps, which we’d recently seen in Wisconsin for the first time. The farm fields were very well marked which was cool. We always wonder what is in the fields. We saw potato fields which made the Irish heart sing. We smelled the onions before we saw them. We discovered Timothy Grass for the first time (mostly used to feed other animals including pet rabbits and guinea pigs). We drove into Seattle, and the SNL fans will appreciate – there was a backup on the 405!! We made it to our campsite about 11 hours after we left in the morning. We’ve included pictures of the leveling we needed to do which the RV people may appreciate. Neptune was tired after a long day of sleeping in the back. He still gets upset when both his people are not accounted for, but we try to give him lots of walks and the strange smells seem to keep him occupied.
Off to bed early for the big day tomorrow.
