We were able to enjoy a gorgeous sunset from our site last night. Sunset was at 8:57 so it was a bit late for us and bed soon followed. Joe was up bright and early to get ready for the ride today. He enjoyed breakfast outside while talking to his BNSF friends before leaving before 7 am. As you can see, he passed through a town called Concrete. Joe made it to the next site, Rockport, WA before me. He was really moving quickly today. Joe (on bike) and Susannah (in truck) both passed the Bigfoot Museum in Burlington, Washington. Unfortunately, it was closed, but it looks like a fun place to visit when we have more time. There are a lot of Bigfoot references around here. And that made a lot of sense when we went for a hike this afternoon. The forests are dense, and the trees are covered with a thick moss. You can really imagine a large Sasquatch watching as you make your way down the path. Neptune seemed unconcerned, which would make a person feel better if they didn’t know that Neptune would most likely leave his humans behind to deal with anything out of the ordinary. Some of the scenery looks like MN but a lot of it is new and we are enjoying all the different flora and fauna. Weather was a bit cloudy, but no rain. Even had time to do some laundry. We sat outside this evening and both commented on what looks like a storm cloud coming in, is actually the mountains surrounding us in the distance. Tomorrow is a relatively short ride so should be done around lunchtime and we’ll be able to enjoy more of this area moving into the Cascades.
