Today began with a goodbye to Bill and Elisabeth. This was after Neptune had a couple walks and Joe made his breakfast of pancakes, eggs and Spam. It was awfully quiet around the RV after they were gone. Before they left the orange cat, Joe, walked past and into the field. We have not seen him since. Maybe he snuck into their car???
Joe and I found a nice place to hike around at Jamestown Reservoir. There is a paved path for biking or walking, places to fish and a swimming beach. We found a path to walk Neptune which he LOVED for the typical mile before laying down in a shady patch of grass and asking for a moment. If you look at the Beaver Dam Trail map you will see that it’s a bunch of red lines going all over. And that’s pretty much what the trail was. But it was a nice, sunny day and it was perfect for us. Down at the water we saw some beautiful blue green stuff floating and wondered if it’s blue/green algae. Neptune was not allowed in the water.
It was a subdued Sunday, and we got some chores done and then went for a nice walk in the paths behind our campsite. Neptune had recovered from his earlier adventures and was excited to leap into the grass and look for anything moving.
Tomorrow Joe starts out early for a 75+ mile solo ride. We’re looking forward to a rest at home later in the week.
Thank you for reading our blog and for all the well wishes and support. We’re almost ½ way done!
